At Fleetguard®, we have a history of innovation in lube filtration technology. Since introducing the Fleetguard® LF502 bag filter and spool full flow lube filter for Cummins engines in 1959, Fleetguard® has led the industry by developing increasingly advanced products. Introduction of the LF750 by-pass filter in 1960 and the LF670 large diameter, pleated paper, full flow, spin-on lube filter in the 1970s kept us at the forefront of technology.

In the 1980s, Fleetguard® took another step forward with the introduction of combination full flow/by-pass filtration in the patented LF3000™. The LF3000™ led the way for today's advanced lube filtration systems, which provide increased engine life over all service intervals, as well as:

Why By-pass Filtration Is Superior
With the introduction of combination lube filtration technology, Fleetguard® revolutionized the industry. As SAE 710813/790098 confirms, by-pass filtration reduces engine wear in the following key areas:
  • Upper connecting rod bearing shell
  • Lower connecting rod bearing shell
  • Upper main bearing shell
  • Lower main bearing shell

StrataPore™ Media
By implementing the revolutionary StrataPore™ multi-layered media in the 1990s, the combo filter was improved even more. StrataPore™ was introduced in the full flow section to work in combination with the stacked discs to remove the smallest dirt particles, which cause the most engine damage. This configuration reduces engine wear by as much as 60% in some applications.

Venturi™ Combo System
The technology was taken even further with the introduction of the Venturi™ Combo. The OEM-approved Venturi™ allows the lube system to perform up to four times as long and remove up to three times the contaminants as a full synthetic filter. The patented Venturi™ nozzle provides a low-pressure zone for the oil to flow through the pleated media for increased efficiency. This innovative technology results in longer life and better performance for your vehicle. And, unlike its competitors, the Venturi™ Combo was tested in a real world environment, not bench tested.

Hydraulic Filtration Systems

Our commitment to technology helps keep you going. We offer an extensive line of hydraulic filtration products for medium and low-duty applications. We also offer a comprehensive replacement hydraulic filter line for many competitive filter part numbers.

Through the right choice of filter media, our Fleetguard® brand hydraulic filtration products achieve higher efficiency and dust capacity with lower pressure-drop characteristics than the competition. This prolongs component life, which saves you money in the long run.

The proper oil-cleanliness level for critical clearances on components in the hydraulic fluid stream is the key. Our state-of-the-art facilities enable us to perform multi-pass, pressure-drop, flow-fatigue and hydrostatic burst testing.

For your convenience, filter elements are available in a variety of media and micron rating efficiencies. Filters can be selected for petroleum- and water-base fluid compatibility. Filter heads are also available in multiple inlet/outlet port sizes and by-pass valve settings.

System performance, design flexibility and product quality are reflected in Fleetguard's diverse hydraulic filtration product line.

Multiple Options
Our hydraulic filters offer a wide range of capabilities, depending on the model:

  • Rated flows ranging from 37 gpm (140 L/min) for the HF6500 Series to 55 gpm (208 L/min) for the HF6800 Series.
  • Maximum static pressures ranging from 350 psi (2413 kPa) for the HF6500 Series to 700 psi (4826 kPa) for the HF6800 Series.
  • Recommended working pressures starting at 250 psi (1724 kPa) for the HF6500 Series to 400 psi (2758 kPa) for the HF6800 Series.
Duramax™ Replacement Filters
Fleetguard Inc. offers an extensive line of replacement hydraulic filters for the Donaldson Duramax™ spin-on applications, per the following specifications:
